EZDVD is back!

Hey all, I'm working on my application again after being ludicrously busy with other stuff (much more boring than this!) Anyhoodlums, I've prototyped a new interface, with the exception of one toggle button I put in. I had an idea for it and for the life of me I can't remember what it was meant to be - I've left the scrap of paper I drew it on at home so I'll amend it when I'm there.

Anyhow, this is a pic of the upcoming release in its GUI building stage:

As you can see, it's still very much a WIP. But that is the general gist. The new version will be threaded to get that progress bar working as it should.

The 'Name' EntryBox remains as it was but there is a configuration button that will allow the user to configure things like the language. Having said this, I'm looking into obtaining language information from the OS for the default setup.

The centre buttons on the interface I would like to be drag and droppable with configuration files. These can be configured by users for their specific device like an iPhone or Galaxy tab. In this file, the structure will be such that the device type within it will determine the icon that is displayed.

The drop down box beside it will be a list of other formats that the user can select. I would like this also to be drag and droppable so if the user does not want their new configuration file to be part of the select few up front it can still be available.

All these text files will be copied into EZ's own folder within 'home' so they can be accessed at a later date. I do however want some UI side way of deleting entries without creating layers of options and what not for the preferences window. I don't think this will be very difficult but I have been very wrong before.

The toggle button as I said before won't do anything if I can't work out what idea I had for it! It's some requested feature I think. The dropbox next to it will list the subtitle languages and I'm looking at saving them to a file so that it won't imprint itself on the video. I'm not entirely sure how this can be done but I'm willing to do the donkey work. It will however default to no subtitles.

The progress bar will show a couple of things. Initially it will show the DVD load status and during the Rip it will show the rip status.

That's all for now, I'll post more when it happens.

Looks very promising. Will have to keep checking back to see how it turns out.
